As a member of Integrated Computer Systems’ leadership, Richard was responsible for maintaining the database integrity of their clients, and the periodical verification of data backups. He coordinated the training and support of the company’s clients and staff, wrote queries for reporting to government agencies and insurance companies.

In this role, Richard supported over 400 doctors in West Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio. Working with the client’s office staff on an ongoing basis, he would not only assist with day-to-day problems but also plan for and predict future needs.

He managed technicians in the service area, optimizing efficiency and minimizing downtime, designed and set up servers (SCO Unix, Red Hat, Windows, VMware virtual). Using his skills in sales and marketing, he predicted future business opportunities with target audiences and converted companies and individuals to ICS customers.

Growing with the business, Richard started with ICS right out of college.   And worked there until him and his business partner Jay purchased the company.

As a volunteer, Rich organizes and coordinates regional conventions, and serves as an assistant at larger national conferences.   Strategic gaming dates back at least as far as recorded history.  More recently board games and other strategic games have increased in popularity and I have enjoyed being able to use the management skills from my professional career to further grow my hobby.
